Augmented Reality

#StoptheULEZ

Summary

A protest piece that emphasises giving back power to the people that are oppressed by their governments. This AR poster campaign merges existing spaces with digitally rendered design. I drew inspiration from Shepard Fairey’s street art which focuses on platforming social political movements.

Community Postcards

Brazil with an S”

Summary

This cyclical postcard is designed with the thoughtful intentions of easing the very difficult and lonely transitionary phase that Brazilian immigrants face when coming to the London. Catholic symbolism was used to reflect what unites my community as well as signifying hope. Forms of homage such as the flag painted on to the stained glass window and the palm tree leaves pattern are used to convey familiarity. A passion project that was fuelled by my own difficult experiences from when me and my family immigrated to London.

Micro Movie / Promo Poster

Virtual Veil

Summary

A deep exploration of simulacrum theory that is visually showcased through an edited and directed micro movie by me, accessible by scanning the QR code on this poster or clicking image. Inspired by Jean Baudrillard’s ideas on simulation and simulacra as well as more contemporary influences such as the Matrix movie were considered in order for me to adapt a corresponding visual language in both my imagery and video outcomes.
